Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy (OT) is a degree-based health profession, regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Occupational therapists use a whole-person perspective to work with individuals, groups and communities to achieve optimal health and well-being through participation in the occupations of life.

Speech Therapy

Speech Pathologists are university-trained allied health professionals with expertise in the assessment and treatment of communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

Our speech pathologists can assist with:

  • delayed language development

  • stutters/lisps/fluency

  • unclear speech

  • autism spectrum disorder

  • attention difficulties

  • disabilities that require alternative methods of communication (AAC or augmentative or alternative communication)

  • dysphagia (problems swallowing)

  • reading, literacy and comprehension difficulties

Dietetics

Dietitians are registered health professionals (with Dietitians Australia) who provide nutrition and dietary advice, specific to the individual. They can empower and educate families to overcome feeding challenges.

They can assist with:

  • children with complex medical needs, for example, enteral feeding

  • children with disabilities

  • eating disorders, food allergies and intolerances

  • fussy eating, poor or slow growth
